So on Saturday, all of the other roommates except for Melanie were at work, out of town, or just busy. I had absolutely nothing planned for the day or errands that I had to do since I would have an extra day due to the holiday on Monday. Melanie also had nothing planned for the day, so we decided we'd have a little adventure. We headed up to the Upper Eastside with the intention of going to Central Park and checking out Belvedere Castle, but other than that we really didn't have anything planned. So we made it up as we went. We left the apartment at 12:30pm and started at 59th and Lexington, the beginning of an interesting and fun day...that would end up taking us around the city walking about 5.5 miles.
Here is a map of our route:

Here is the list of things we did:
- FAO Schwartz
- Central Park--Belvedere Castle (Pictures below)
- Crumbs--Amazing Black Forest cupcakes
- Columbus Circle Shopping Center
- Little French Cafe (good, but expensive for how much food we got)
- Steve & Berry's
- Chipotle

It was very cold and windy, but it was so nice to be out walking. I was surprised that I wasn't tired at all after such a long walk. What a great day! Oh, and we made it home around 6:20pm.
Oh, also as a side note, please let me know what you think of my new title image. :)

It's pretty cool--did you design it yourself?
Thanks Ryan! I did design it myself. :)
I've always wanted to go in that building. Looks like you had a lot of fun.
That sounds like so much fun! It looks beautiful there. It looks like your enjoying your time in NY!
