Thanksgiving has come and gone.
It sure was a fun long weekend full of
food, parades, and a road trip up to Boston.
Wednesday night before Thanksgiving,
Brittany and I started to prepare some of
the dishes for dinner the next day. I prepared
the sweet potato casserole while Brittany made
her brown-paper-bag apple pie.
Look how high those apples are stacked!

Thursday morning, Thanksgiving Day,
Brittany and I, along with Anna and her niece,
headed uptown to see the Macy's Thanksgiving
Day Parade. Brittany was pretty excited.

to watch from. It didn't look very comfortable,
or safe, to me. She didn't sit there long.
After leaving the parade early to meet up with
my friend Jana who drove up from DC, we started
preparing dinner. Here I am getting our 7lb
chicken ready for his debut in the oven.
crescent rolls, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes
and stuffing (not picture gravy and chicken)
Don't worry, we went around the table and shared
what we were thankful for while we were eating.
Friday Morning, Brittany, Jana and I took off
for Boston. None of us had ever been, so it was
time to rectify the issue. On the way up, we stopped
for breakfast at Cracker Barrel (another first for me).
I had to take a picture of Jana's car since it has an Arizona
license plate. The car is a looong way from home.

After we got up to Boston, our friends the Barlows
(also friends from Arizona), suggested we go check
out Concord and Lexington to check out the sights.
Saturday was spent checking out the Freedom Trail.
I'll pretty much let these pictures speak for themselves.
the Mike's Pastry box and enjoyed our delicious treats.
All of us got cannolis, except Jana, who got a
Boston Cream Pie instead.
Sunday:
It was time to head back home (with rain most of the drive
back to New York City...Yuck!)
Goodbye Shaler Lane! Thanks for a wonderful time
Brother and Sister Barlow!
And that was another well spent Thanksgiving
Weekend on the East Coast.
