Drum roll please...
Finally, the second day of our journeys in Cambodia.
I bet you thought it was never going to happen.
Well, you were wrong, so here it is.
Finally, the second day of our journeys in Cambodia.
I bet you thought it was never going to happen.
Well, you were wrong, so here it is.
After a much needed nights sleep (in a bed, not airplane
seat), we started the day with breakfast.
seat), we started the day with breakfast.
We went to this little restaurant that had both
Cambodian and American food. They also had
this lovely little Christmas tree.
the city to meet with families that Marc had been
able to teach or from the wards he had served in.
More pictures from around the city.
Most building the branches meet in in Cambodia are
rented. This is one of the first church owned building.
Pictured in front of the church is our gongbay. Our
driver is a branch president in the 2nd branch in Phnom
Pehn. If you look at the side of the gongbay you will
notice the letters C-T-R. The back had the letters L-D-S.
area in the back. I really liked this building
behind the church.
were there. Apparently he wanted us to buy him
a computer. We would later see him at the airport
at the end of our trip.
it was time to head to the bus stop to catch our
bus up to Battambang.
While near the bus stop, we decided to
get a bite to eat before our 5-6 hour bus ride.
Then it was onto the bus for one of the worst
bus rides of the trip. The scenery was great,
but the driver sure didn't know how to keep
his hand off the horn. In Cambodia, if you are
driving a car or bus, you honk to let motos
know you are behind them so they move over.
Understood, but this guy was over the top.
Anyway, enjoy some of the scenery.
plenty of bus stops along the way. People need their food, etc.
there are some interesting foods to be found here.
I do love how they cut their pineapple (which I
will show you in another picture later).
movie for our enjoyment. I sure enjoyed seeing
Stallone rip a guys jugular from his neck with his
bare hands. Everyone enjoys that!

Good show, good show. But just for the record, our gongbay driver was the Branch President of Kean Svay (a suburbian village outside of Phnom Penh). And the guy who asked for the computer was a previous investigator. But hopefully he'll be baptized someday (without the persuasion of a computer).
Looks like a ton of fun. Maeley sure enjoys looking at "Kimmy's" blog. I hope you're doing well. Are you freezing? It's way too warm here.
I feel like I was there with so many pictures. I am glad you shared!!
