'Egg'cellent

Do Easter Eggs make you happy?
Or sad?
(note, the above is the same egg, different sides)

I must say it is really great having family around
for the holidays. Surprisingly, this is the first time
I've dyed Easter eggs since living in NY, but with
Brittany around it makes the holidays more enjoyable
and I can actually participate in some of the holiday
traditions/festivities without feeling like a loner/dork.

So Saturday night after getting home from the temple,
we hard boiled the eggs and brought out the coloring kit.
We didn't get pictures of us in action, but we do have
the finished products.

Brittany's carton is on the left and mine
is on the right (except I did the face one).
Again, Brittany's eggs.
And my eggs.

Maybe we've been away from home too long
and forgotten traditions, such as...

...where do you hide the eggs?

Brittany thought maybe her mouth
was a good hiding place.
Maybe you don't actually hide the eggs.
Maybe you are supposed to hide behind them?
Come to think about it, I don't think either of those are right.

Moving on...here are some close ups of the eggs.

My "blue duck" egg.
The "Twilight Zone" egg.
The "Scribbley" egg.
"Not quite sure what it is" egg.
My froggy egg!
Actually, we each had an egg
that represented each roommate.

The frog for me (left), Alec the Rabbit for Anna
(right) as she really loves the Pixar short,
and a pig for Brittany (right)
Brittany loves her pig.
And I apparently still think I'm supposed
to hide behind the eggs.
On Easter Sunday after church the two
of us enjoyed a very delicious dinner.
Yummy pot roast!
I think after all those eggs, Brittany cracked.
Hey, it's Easter and egg "yolks" are mandatory.
"Hop" everyone had a wonderful Easter!
(ok, the bunny jokes, too)
