Yesterday was quite the Halloween. I'll first caveat that I left my apartment at 11:30am and didn't come back home until 12:30am. Now a good portion of that was spent at the temple (from 1:30pm to 6:30pm), but it was still a long day. Before heading to the temple, I told a friend I would help out with the family ward's Halloween party. I didn't end up doing a whole lot, but it was fun to see the cute little kids in their costumes...I really don't get to see kids all that often here in the city. Well, then from the church, I went straight to the temple for my shift.
After a more quiet day at the temple (compared to the last couple of Saturdays), I left a little bit earlier than usual to head off to my friend Julia's apartment. She had invited people over for dinner and such, so Brittany and I met up there. We had chili and other delicious food, including these cute chocolate pudding filled oranges that Michelle and Mike brought.

Everyone looked great in their costumes. This year Brittany and I actually had costumes before the day of. As you can see Brittany went as Cookie Monster, while I went as an NBC page, or more specifically for those of you who watch the show 30 Rock, I was Kenneth Parcell's sister from Stone Mountain, Georgia who is also a page for the peacock network.

Myself, Michell as Sandy from Grease, and Julia's roommate Kambria as Robin.
Julia and Will's costumes were some of my favorite. Julia is Dora and the Explorer and Will is Diego! I love their interpretation of The Map.
After Julia's some of us went to the church dance/party to check it out. On the way, we came across this bus stop poster, so we had to take a picture.
At the church dance we ran into some friends there. There was actually a lot of people not from our stake at the dance, so I really didn't recognize anyone. I also didn't take too many more pictures for the rest of the night, but here is Kellen and his friend as the Swine Flu, and my friend Peter as Steve Jobs (which I got right off the bat!).
There was some carved pumpkins at the church and I liked this one of the Angel Moroni.
Some of my other friends (not pictured) were dressed as a comic book nerd, a Costco Sample Employee, an Avatar, Napoleon Dynamite, Helen of Troy, Mickey Mouse, and Lady Gaga, along with many other pretty awesome costumes.
We hung out at the church dance for a little bit before heading to the "after party" at Krystal's Seven Deadly Sins themed party. There I ran into some more friend including my friend and old roommate Amber (dressed as Karen O of the Yeah! Yeah! Yeahs!). She always looks amazing on Halloween.
We stuck around and danced at the party for awhile before heading home. We attempted to stay up and watch a movie, but Brittany fell asleep and I decided to go ahead and just go to bed about half way through. It sure was a fun night, though. Just glad we had that extra hour of sleep (only good part of daylight saving is coming off daylight saving to get that extra hour we lost in the spring).
