I've Been Tagged...

...well, I was actually tagged a couple of weeks ago, but I had pictures of London to post so I've put this off until now. I'm going to try and think of things that some or most people don't know about me, but I always find this difficult to do. Anyway, so here goes.

Here are the rules: Post these rules of "tag" at the beginning of your blog. List 6 facts or habits about yourself. At the end of the post, you must tag 6 people and post their names. Go to their blog and leave them a comment letting them know they have been tagged and to read your blog for more details.

1. I guess let's finally get this out in the open. People out here in NYC are always surprised by how young I am for already being done with school. Yes, I finished college early. It wasn't purely intentional, but I started BYU summer of 2003 and went straight through school only taking spring and summer off between my first and second year. I finished my last semester in Utah winter of 2006, walked in April, came out to NYC for my internship in the summer, and technically graduated August 2006. So there you go. I didn't finish early because I'm super smart, just decided I wanted to just get through school. I even spent the summer of 2005 working on campus as a teaching assistant and served as Relief Society President of my BYU ward at the ripe old age of 20.

2. Most people have noticed that I have always had short hair and every once in awhile I do highlights, but once I decided to be drastic and dye my hair brown. The picture to the left is right after the deed was done (not a really attractive picture, but oh well). This was in October 2005 when i lived with Ashley Pinney the first time. She actually helped me color my hair. Though my parent's were not too happy (my dad would have preferred that I go blonder) I actually had many people compliment my hair and some people in my classes the next semester thought my hair was naturally dark.

3. One time at band camp.... Yes, I was in marching band, but I did not play the flute or clarinet like most girls. I played the trombone! My family is very musical and we all started playing piano around the age of 5, but when we got to about 6th grade we were encouraged to pick another instrument to play in school band or orchestra. I picked the trombone as my fingers were too small to play any woodwind instrument (though starting out I couldn't reach 7th position, and barely 6th position). I always loved being in the section with all the boys and actually knowing how to play. The picture to the right was taken during one of our competitions, I believe, during my sophomore year. Also along with being in a section with mostly boys, I was also a lot shorter than everyone around me.

4. Most people already know, but I love to carve pumpkins. I like to come up with my own designs and theme the pumpkin to represent my personality in some way. This pumpkin was in 2005 when I had just submitted my application for the BYU New York Internship Program and was waiting to find out if I had been accepted.

5. I love to try new things, especially things more sporty or exciting. From trying to skate board, taking an ice hockey class at BYU (twice), to learning to surf board (pictured to the right). I like to think that I have an adventurous side, at least to some degree. Sometimes things don't always turn out pretty, such as a nice man-sized bruise on my upper thigh when attempting to skate board or a bruise to the chest when getting hit with a hockey puck, but I'm always glad that I at least attempted. I love to ride roller coasters and have even taken a ride on some of the world's tallest and faster roller coasters (King da Kah at Six Flags in New Jersey and Top Speed Dragster and Millennium Force at Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH). I have also gone repelling several times, and have even gone facing down!

6. I have what you call a photo/audio-graphic memory. I love to quote movies all the time, and I remember the most random things. My mom is always remarking about how amazed she is at what I remember. As my roommates, close friends, and family can attest, I quote movies and tv shows quite often. Plus they know it sometimes only takes me seeing a show once to quote a particular line almost perfectly. I think Jenn Cook put it best when she told me that I speak in movie. One of my favorite movies to quote is Drop Dead Gorgeous. "Good, because this isn't an American Teen Princess Pagent, this is, this is Nazi Germany!"

Well, there you go. Now I tag Courtnie, Brenda, Ashley, Brigham, Don, and Lyndee.
