Ice Skating at Chelsea Piers

First off let me just note that my roommate Melanie was recently called as the Achievement Days Advisor/Leader in the family ward downtown. Well, when I was coming home from work I ran into her and Cory right after coming out of the subway on Wall and Broadway. As we were walking home she mentioned that she was doing an Achievement Day activity tonight. I was super excited when she continued on mentioning they would be ice skating at Chelsea Piers AND she wanted to know if I would like to join them. Of course I would want to go! I love ice skating and I wouldn't pass up any opportunity to get my skate on...especially if it also meant being of service to my roommate.

Here is a picture of Melanie and Abigail, one of her cute
little Achievement Day girls. There is one other
girl in the group, but she was unable to attend.

Capturing the ice skating action.

Another cute picture. All I have to say is
Abigail was so cute and did an amazing job
skating. It was both our third times using
our own ice skates.

I didn't get a picture of me ice skating, but you can sort
of see me wearing my skates, which is a first. I guess this
picture will haveto do for now. One day I will actually get a
picture of me skating. Alas, tonight was not my night.

Everyone who attended had a good time (all three of us that is). Also, let me just note that when we got in the taxi to take Melanie's girl home I found a crisp $5 bill on the floor in the backseat. It helped pay for the taxi ride home. :)

That sounds so fun! I love Ice skating, too. But I won't be doing it any time soon, since I am 9 mo pregnant. But how fun! That was nice to find the $5! I love it when that happens!

I love you in that jacket. You are very cute!!! I do love you even though you give me a hard time about not making comments and keeping up with my blog :)
