The Bombs Bursting In Air

As any good American, I went to watch fireworks on
the 4th to celebrate our wonderful nation. This is my 3rd
Independence Day in NYC, and again I watched fireworks from
a different location. Two years ago I watched from a rooftop
in Battery Park City, last year was at Dave's apartment complex
that is right next to the East River at 23rd, and this year I simply
walked over to Southstreet Seaport. It was super crowded, but
Brittany and I ended up in the perfect spot right in front of the barge.

This my attempt to get a picture of the Macy's Firework barge.
(Bright white lights in the center)
Cousin photo-op.
We didn't have to wait too long before the fireworks began.
The other added bonus of our spot? The FDR highway above us
protected us from the rain! (though it did block some of the fireworks).

Fireworks!!!
Here's wishing everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!
