Sitting, Waiting...Jetting?

Don't Brittany and I look cute?
But what is it that we are doing while we
are looking so cute?
Well, after about an hour or so on the subway, we
arrived here, at the Delta Airlines terminal at JFK Airport.
Did Brittany and I go on a spontaneous trip somewhere?
Why else would we go all the way out to JFK?

Well, as many of you may know, my parents have been called
to serve a mission. Two weeks ago they went to the MTC to receive
office training and such, and yesterday was the big day...the day
they made the long journey to the mission field in Sierra Leone.
Lucky for me, they had a layover just long enough in New York City
that I could meet up with them for 20-30 minutes to say
my hellos and goodbyes.

After getting the call from my parents that they had landed (they
borrowed someone's cell phone to call me) Brittany and I were
able to meet up with my parents, chat and get some much
needed hugs and kisses. Here is Brittany with my parents.
And here is me with my mommy and daddy. I have
to agree with my sister Kari that they do make the cutest
missionary couple. We aren't biased or anything.
What only seemed like a short time (well let's face it,
it was), it was time to say goodbye again. All I have to
say is thank goodness for Skype.

Good luck Mommy and Daddy!
You're going to be great!
...Oh, and I'll be seeing you in a couple of months,
say September/Octoberish? I'll bring some dark
chocolate covered almonds with me.

And don't worry, Brittany will continue to take
good care of me and make sure I don't get into
trouble...well at least not too much. :)
