Hoe Down, Martha Style

Tonight I was invited to a Hoe Down BBQ hosted by the people at Martha Stewart Living. Originally it was supposed to be on the rooftop of one of the companies studios that overlooks the Hudson River, but due to rain the event was held indoors.

My supervisor at work was supposed to attend the event as well, but couldn't make it at the last minute. So I went alone. I figured I should get out of my comfort zone a little and socialize, even if I didn't stay the whole time. Well, I was sitting around with the rep from MSL and some other media people that I had just met thinking after I grabbed some dinner I would checkout, when I look over and find Jeff and Caitlin standing in line for food! Hurrah for friends!!!

It was fun to hang out with Jeff and Caitlin for the evening (lots better than small talking with people I don't know and will never see again...who were also getting plastered on "Southern Comfort"). There was some dancing at the shindig as well, so Jeff and Caitlin joined in on the fun in hopes to win a prize.Grab your partner dosey doe!
The lovely couple recieved t-shirts for their efforts.
All in all, it turned out to be kind of fun. I even walked away with a Martha Stewart apron and some Emeril Spices. So I guess I'll be ready to kick it up a notch the next time I make hamburgers or meat on the grill (well George Foreman at least).

Thanks for a fun evening Jeff and Caitlin! :)

Thank you! It was so fun to hang out with you too. Jeff and I seriously worked it on the dance floor. We earned those shirts.

I worked it like I have never worked it before - and VICTORY! Tshirts!

Thanks for joining us and keeping us company. Those parties can really be lame with the wrong crowd.

So, I read the title of your post. The experience went like this " Hoe down...." and then someone's girlfriend hit the floor. He he he. Jeff Foxworthy...good stuff. Anyway, soon I will post a moving blog like you... maybe I will call it "Movin' On Up....out of the parents basement"
