Pumpkins!!!
Yes, it is that time of year again. The time whereit gets a "little" colder outside, leaves change colors,
and I get to pull out the old carving kit and go
at some pumpkins. I'm sure most of you know
how much I love Halloween purely for the pumpkin
carving. It is what I live for each year (well, not quite
but it is one of the highlights of the year).
Anyhow, this year is no different than any other.
As September was winding down, I knew I needed
to start working on my idea for my pumpkin,
as I go like to make my own stencil.
Some of you have asked me what is this year's inspiration.
Well, here is your answer.
Ratatouille!(I know, I know, another Disney theme)
You may ask how I'm going to make a pumpkin
design out of this. Well, as of last night, it is no longer a
concern as I finished it up on photoshop. I would show
you the template, but I don't want people going and
stealing my designs now, now would I.
Anyway, pumpkins will be bought this weekend--
yes two pumpkins as I am also working on a design
to submit to the Pumpkin Masters contest this year--
and then the carving will probably take place on Tuesday.
To get you as pumped up as I am, here are pictures of
previous years pumpkins (though I know many of you
have seen them before--I should really have my mom
send me scanned pictures of older pumpkins that I did).
2005 Pumpkin: Statue of Liberty
This was my last year at BYU, and if you couldn't tell, I
was pretty excited about the possibility of moving to NYC.

2006 Pumpkins: Tina Turner
and Huey, Dewey, and Louie
Tina was dedicated to Jenn.
year after year, but it just turned out so awsome.
It is by far my favorite that I've done.
2007 Pumpkins: Mary Poppins and Monsters Inc.
Mary Poppins was in anticipation of my first trip to London.
The trip was just a week after Halloween last year.
You'll also remember that this pumpkin won
me a nice little prize last year.
